Top Businesses to Be Recognized at 11th Leading Edge Awards, June 22
Southern Marylands leading businesses and executives will be honored at the 11th annual Leading Edge Awards ceremony, beginning at 6 p.m., June 22 at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Community Center.
The annual event celebrates individuals and businesses that spur economic growth within the region. This years honorees exemplify the qualities synonymous with business success: performance excellence, innovation and an unwavering dedication to customers and staff, according to Dr. Daniel Mosser, vice president of the College of Southern Marylands Corporate and Community Training Institute.
Among those to be recognized this year are Sneades Ace Home Center, Inc. as Calvert County Business of the Year; ERIMAX, Inc. President and CEO Eric W. Franklin as CEO of the Year; Studio 553 as Charles County Technology Company of the Year; Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, LLC as CSM Partnership in Education; Dominion Cove Point LNG as Excellence in Economic Progress; Wyle Aerospace Group as The Patuxent Partnership Member Firm of the Year; and Gateau Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine as Small Business of the Year.
Co-hosting and presenting this years Leading Edge Awards are Calvert County Technology Council, Charles County Technology Council, The Patuxent Partnership, Small Business Development Center for the Southern Region of Maryland (SBDC), The Corporate Center at CSM, CSM Foundation and Southern Maryland Economic Development Association.
The Leading Edge Awards program will include a reception and banquet, 6 to 9:30 p.m., June 22 at the Jaycees Hall in Waldorf. Platinum sponsors for this years LEA include Comcast, the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development, Southern Maryland Newspapers and CSM.
