CCCC) first faculty and one of the region’s most enduring and admired educators. “[A professor’s job] is to make people want to learn about new things and experiences and do things – take chances.”

The Diversity Institute at the College of Southern Maryland is seeking community input from Charles County residents as part of the institute's ongoing efforts to shape a stronger Charles County. Focus groups are scheduled for community input on Oct. 6, 8, 14, 20 and 21.

Input gathered from focus group participants, coupled with feedback provided during breakout sessions at the 2015 Unity in Our Community Diversity Forum, will help in shaping the institute's goals and priorities.

?This is an exciting time for Charles County as we work together to shape an environment that will help promote inclusion, respect and unity in our community,? said Makeba Clay, associate vice president of CSM?s Institutional Equity and Diversity Office.
