Volunteer Southern Maryland Mini-Golf Tournament (for Cheaters). 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 3, Fun Haven Golf Course, 5075 Crain Highway, La Plata. Teams of two players and a caddy compete in a mini-golf tournament where cheating is highly encouraged. Teams purchase advantages such as blindfolds, wiggly balls, squirt guns and horns to use against their competitors. Teams are encouraged to create a team name and t-shirt to wear on tournament day for prizes. Proceeds to benefit Southern Maryland non-profits. Entry fee is $30 per team; $25 for team with CSM I.D.
