The Patuxent Partnership (TPP) Board Member retired Navy Rear Admiral Steve Eastburg, left, TPP Executive Director Bonnie Green and TPP Board President Gene Townsend, present a donation of $3,000 to CSM President Dr. Brad Gottfried, second from left, to support the college's robotics program. CSM hosted its first robotics competition for high school students in 2006 with two teams. Now, CSM hosts robotics competitions for elementary, middle and high school students representing public and private schools in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's counties, with qualifying competitions sending teams to state, national and world competitions. The Patuxent Partnership works with government, industry and academia on programs and initiatives designed to support workforce development in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), host programs of interest to the Navy and the broader community and supports research and technology development.
