Members of the Lady Jane Sewall Chapter, Colonial Dames Seventeenth Century presented The Ark and The Dove Adventurers, a genealogy book compiled and written by The Society of The Ark and The Dove, to the Southern Maryland Studies Center at the College of Southern Maryland. The Ark and The Dove Adventurers traces the genealogy of the descendents of Sir George Calvert and other historic Southern Maryland families from the 1600s to the present. According to Carol Whitsell, chapter president, the society was organized in 1974 and strives to preserve, encourage and aid public interest in commemorating the deeds and lives of Southern Marylands founding citizens.
