To CSM, and Beyond: Transfer Possibilities Fair. 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Sept. 14. College of Southern Maryland, Prince Frederick Campus, Building B, Multipurpose Room, 115 J.W. Williams Road, Prince Frederick. More than 1,980 students transferred to 297 different colleges and universities in 46 states and the District of Columbia last year. With 50 guaranteed articulation agreements, students can start locally and transfer seamlessly to the college of their choice. Meet with representatives of multiple colleges in one location, explore degree programs, and meet with CSM advisors, faculty and students at this fall's CSM Transfer Fair. Free. CSM Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery: Christopher Scott Dolan's “Landscapes of the District and Southern Maryland.” Sept. 12 to Oct. 2. College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Fine Arts (FA) Building, Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Christopher Dolan uses direct observation of the urban and semi-urban landscape to create densely layered paintings created en plein-aire which are influenced by a sensitivity to abstraction. CSM Main Stage Theatre: “Greater Tuna.” 7:30 p.m., Sept. 17; 8 p.m., Sept 18-19. College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Fine Arts (FA) Building, Theatre, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Set in the fictitious west Texas town of Tuna in the early 1980s, this play skewers a multitude of uptight, narrow-mined, self-righteous townspeople-performed by two actors donning costume after costume, persona after persona. $15 adults, $12 military/seniors/youth. bxoffc@csmd.edu, 301-934-7828, www.csmd.edu/Arts.
