Meet the Artists Sue Chappelear, Night Sky Essays performers, Dec. 9 during CSM Foundation Reception

The College of Southern Maryland presents an evening of music, art and mingling with the artists on Dec. 9. The multi-media musical performance of “Night Sky Essays: A New Winter Solstice Concert” features four multi-talented artists who will illuminate the evening with the cool rhythms of the snow-covered north, the vibrant winters of Africa and the awe-inspiring beauty of the sky on a winter’s night. World-renowned artists Sean Harkness, Barbara Higbie, Samite and Liz Story will conduct their performance through the combined demonstration of an array of instruments.

In addition to the “Night Sky Essays: A New Winter Solstice Concert” performance, the audience may begin the evening by attending a Meet-the-Artist reception including all four of the “Night Sky Essays” performers along with CSM Professor and artist Sue Chappelear who will discuss her latest pottery exhibit “Currents”.
