CSM Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery: Dystopias (Curated by Yikui Gu). Wayne Karlin presents his book Wandering Souls: Journeys with the Living and the Dead in Viet Nam. The Connections Series features award-winning contemporary writers, poets and artists who share their work with Southern Maryland residents. CSM Childrens Theatre: Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. 7 p.m., March 7; 2 and 7 p.m., March 8, College of Southern Maryland, Fine Arts Center, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Alexander is having a bad day. A horrible day. To be quite honest, it's a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But then, everybody has bad days sometimes. CSMs Chorale: Barbershop Spring Extravaganza 4 p.m., March 15, College of Southern Maryland, Fine Arts Center, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Southern Mix, directed by Paul Douglass, is a mens barbershop chorus which rehearses and performs on CSMs La Plata Campus. The group will venture into the world of the 1950s and 1960s doo-wop sound. Ms. Armstrong is an active recitalist, a founding member of the Fortunata Trio, and has been a frequent collaborator with the TEMPO Contemporary Ensemble.
