Those Who Fought to Prove Innocence Tell Students of their Experiences
A video of the College of Southern Maryland lecture on the Innocence Project is available online through http://youtu.be/6pPHn5gAmN0. Sponsored by CSMs Institutional Equity and Diversity Office, the event included presentations by Scott Hornoff, former law enforcement official who was wrongfully convicted of murder and exonerated after six years in prison, and Innocence Projects Senior Advocate for National Partnerships Katie Monroe, who in 2002 won federal habeas corpus relief for her mother who was wrongly convicted of murder in 1992. The Innocence Project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system.
