Friendship House Lecture: Foodways of the Late 17th and Early 18th Century. 2:30 p.m., August 11, College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry, Room BI-104, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Historian Mary Farrar, discusses the general foodways, addressing recipes, methods of cooking, animals breeds of the period, and domestic agriculture and horticulture, of the late 17th and early 18th centuries, with a focus on Chesapeake patterns.
