Free Money Smart Conference at CSM: Managing Your Money in Difficult Times. 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Nov. 14, College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. A one-day educational conference on managing your money in difficult times divided into four seminars: Insurance, Financial Planning, Personal Banking, Real Estate and Mortgage, with each seminar containing four, individual, hour-long sessions–16 sessions in all to choose from. Topics include: Understanding Life Insurance, Investing 101, Foreclosures and Short Sales, Identity Theft and much more. All sessions are presented by professionals in their field with adequate time for questions. Seminars break for lunch which includes a presentation by Dr. Sharon P.
