Justice, Forgiveness and Remembrance of the Holocaust: A Discussion with Dr. Katharina von Kellenbach. 6 to 7 p.m., Oct. 25. Sponsored by CSMs Institutional Equity and Diversity Office, this lecture by Katharina von Kellenbach draws on personal experience to explore the moral, emotional and legal dilemmas of living with perpetrators in the period after genocide. Kellenbach explores how the practices of justice, forgiveness and remembrance can lead beyond the devastation of the past into new relationships between perpetrators, victims and their communities. Sponsored by CSMs Institutional Equity and Diversity Office, this event will include presentations by Scott Hornoff, former law enforcement official who was wrongfully convicted of murder and exonerated after six years in prison, and Innocence Projects Senior Advocate for National Partnerships Kathryn A. Monroe, who in 2002 won federal habeas corpus relief for her mother who was wrongly convicted of murder in 1992. The Innocence Project is a national litigation and public policy organization dedicated to exonerating wrongfully convicted people through DNA testing and reforming the criminal justice system. Free. Presented by CSMs Institutional Equity and Diversity Office, the In Our Family photo exhibit tells the story of families representing a breadth of diversity and family configurations. One of six award-winning traveling photo-text exhibits created by Family Diversity Projects, In Our Family is designed for audiences of all ages, and challenges stereotypes with positive and realistic photographs and candid interviews with family members of all ages.
