Engineering Program Information Sessions

CSM Students Can Earn Bachelor of Science without Leaving Southern Maryland

The College of Southern Maryland announces information sessions regarding the cooperative engineering program that will lead to bachelor of science degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering, available within Southern Maryland.

The sessions at each campus will provide information on requirements for entry into the engineering programs, co-op opportunities at Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) and job opportunities following graduation. The program linking CSM, the University of Maryland College Park, NAWCAD and Southern Maryland Higher Education Center means that students can remain within Southern Maryland in order to complete bachelor degrees in aerospace and mechanical engineering. All interested CSM students regardless of current degree program are encouraged to attend.

The sessions begin at 2:30 p.m., Jan. 27 at the Prince Frederick Campus, Room PFA 236/237, for students; at 2:30 p.m., Feb. 3 at the Leonardtown Campus, Building A, Room A-206, students and at 5 p.m. for parents; and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at the La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry, Room BI-113, for students and at 5:30 p.m. for parents.

For information, contact Neal Wilsey, 301-934-7836 or by e-mail at NealW@csmd.edu.

CSM will offer additional information sessions tailored to interested high school students later in the year.
