ITIL V3 Foundations Classes Begin August 4
The College of Southern Maryland and Zenetex are teaming up to provide Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) training and certification classes for organizations and their employees in Southern Maryland beginning with ITIL V3 Foundation classes Aug. 4-6 at CSMs La Plata Campus and Sept. 22-24 at the Leonardtown Campus.
ITIL is a set of best practices that describe how to deliver quality IT services efficiently, effectively and in alignment with an organizations business goals and objectives. The ITIL V3 is the current version of the most widely adopted best practice framework for delivering IT services efficiently within organizations. Both ITIL V3 intermediate and advanced courses are being planned for the future at CSMs Corporate Center so students can continue towards achieving the goal of ITIL Expert.
IT certification is so important in todays security environment, said CSMs Susan Ross, senior director, workforce development. The Corporate Center is pleased that we can provide a Southern Maryland location so that employers dont have to send their people great distances to get the professional training they need.
We are excited about combining our ITIL experience with CSMs Corporate Centers technical education excellence, said Zenetex Vice President of IT Service Management Doug Rember. This is a great opportunity to bring the fastest growing and most widely accepted approach to IT service management to public, private and government organizations in Southern Maryland.
ITIL Foundation certification is for IT professionals including IT project managers, IT managers, IT project or team members, coordinators, network operators, business process analysts, IT architects, consultants, systems integrators, help desk managers and staff, planners, managed service providers, outsources, application developers and other IT-related positions.
The ITIL V3 Foundations course is $1,595 per person for instruction and certification test. Training is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 4-6 and Nov. 3-5 at the La Plata Campus, and Sept. 22-24 and Nov. 17-19 at the Leonardtown Campus.
