College Sponsors Military Night at Annmarie Garden Holiday Light Show
The College of Southern Maryland was honored this month by Victory Media as a Gold award winner for being a community college with outstanding programs and support for the nation's veterans and their families. Last month, CSM was awarded the 2017 Military Friendly® School designation from Victory Media, a designation that CSM has earned now for three consecutive years. This month, Victory Media followed up that designation with the Gold award, which indicates how CSM is rated compared to other Military Friendly colleges. Top 10, Silver and Bronze awards were also announced.
CSM is one of the largest providers of educational services for current and former service members and their families in Maryland. Military/veteran students represent 10 percent of CSM's total enrollment.
A seasonal expression of CSM?s commitment to veterans will take place as part of Annmarie Garden's annual Garden in Lights event when for the fourth year CSM will sponsor Military Night on Dec. 28, from 6 to 9 p.m., allowing free admission for veterans and active duty service members (with valid ID) and two guests. The Garden in Lights event takes place at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center, 13480 Dowell Road, Dowell, MD 20629.
