The College of Southern Maryland has earned reaccreditation for its business programs through the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). An ACBSP Site Visit Team conducted interviews and campus tours in early March and presented to faculty and staff the major points they reported to the Associate Degree Board of Commissions.
CSM was first accredited by ACBSP in 1995. The college is required to go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain ACBSP accreditation.
“The College of Southern Maryland has shown their commitment to teaching excellence and to the process of quality improvement by participating in the accreditation process,” said ACBSP Chief Accreditation Officer Dr. Steve Parscale, who will present the Certificate of Reaffirmation of Accreditation at ACBSP Conference 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia on June 19.
“This reaffirmation of accreditation is evidence that CSM is committed to maintaining the highest quality business education for their students for the next 10 years, just as they have done since 1995,” said Parscale.
CSM offers 15 degrees, certificates and letters of recognition through its Business and Technology Division, including accounting, business administration, hospitality management, legal studies, management development and office skills. Degrees in business administration have ranked among the top programs for CSM graduates.
