CSM Opens Ward Virts Concert Series With Performance by Brian Ganz

The College of Southern Maryland’s Ward Virts Concert Series opened its 2010-11 season with classical pianist, Brian Ganz. A graduate of the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, Ganz has performed with numerous orchestras such as the St. Louis Symphony, as well as annually with the Ward Virts series. The next performance will be given by Mark Laverty beginning at 3 p.m., Nov. 14, at the Prince Frederick Campus, Room 119, 115 J.W. Williams Road, Prince Frederick. Laverty will perform a Chopin set in honor of the composer’s bicentennial, as well as other works. The Ward Virts Concert Series is presented by Edward and Patricia Mehosky, St. Clair and Mary Tweedie and Gerry Van De Velde and Rene Cunningham and CSM. Open seating.
