2nd Round of Casting is for Male Roles Only
The College of Southern Marylands Fine Arts is holding a second round of auditions beginning at 6 p.m. Aug. 19 for its upcoming fall musical production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Only male roles are being cast in this second round.
The Drowsy Chaperone will be performed Nov. 6-8 and 13-14 at the CSM Fine Arts Theatre. A one-act, book musical, the show is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s with one show-stopping song and dazzling dance after another.
Auditions will be in the Fine Arts Center Theatre, located on the La Plata Campus, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Those auditioning should prepare a one-minute monologue and 16 bars of a song with sheet music for the accompanist, and be dressed to move. Those with tap shoes may bring them for the audition.
