Most administrative offices and services of the College of Southern Maryland will be unavailable the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 19 as faculty and administration gather for an All-College Convocation on CSMs La Plata Campus. The Leonardtown and Prince Frederick campuses will close at 11 a.m. and the La Plata Campus will close at noon. Personal enrichment classes, CSMs St. Charles Childrens Learning Center, and Kids and Teen College programs will be operating on a normal schedule.
The afternoon will include a keynote presentation by Dr. Susan Albertine, vice president, Office of Engagement, Inclusion and Success at the Association of American Colleges and Universities, on the theme, Student Success: We Are All Part of the Journey. The day will include break-out sessions on a range of topics to prepare faculty and staff as they kick off the new academic year.
During the All-College Convocation, online access will be available at http://www.csmd.edu and through my.CSMD services. Classes for the fall semester will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
