CSM Faculty, Staff Attend All-College Convocation, Aug. 17

Most administrative offices and services of the College of Southern Maryland will be unavailable the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 17 as faculty and administration gather for an All-College Convocation on CSM’s La Plata Campus. The Leonardtown and Prince Frederick campuses will close at 11 a.m. and the La Plata Campus will close at noon. Personal enrichment classes, CSM’s St. Charles Children’s Learning Center, and Kids’ and Teen College programs will be operating on a normal schedule.

The convocation will bring together faculty and staff as one college to celebrate. “Student Degree and Goal Completion: We Are All Part of the Journey.”

“In order for CSM to be successful, we must all be part of the process and that is what this convocation is about,” said CSM President Dr. Brad Gottfried.

The day will showcase how each employee plays a vital role in student success, with an expo featuring all departments demonstrating how their efforts and initiatives promote or affect student degree completion/student success. Breakout sessions will engage participants in discussions about promoting degree completion.

During the All-College Convocation, online access will be available at www.csmd.edu and through my.CSMD services. Classes for the fall semester will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
