CSM Corporate Center Tackles Corporate Challenges through Leadership Training

Preparing for generational changes in workers, creating strategic alliances between businesses and ramping up performance at work through shifts in routine are topics in the Executive Education Series offered by the College of Southern Maryland Corporate Center designed to help business leaders confront the global recession.

“We understand the economic crisis has created challenges to growth for area businesses,” said CSM Senior Director of Workforce Development Programs Susan Ross. “With that in mind, we have designed a series of educational opportunities for businesses with nationally recognized speakers who can give insights into current trends and best practices.”

The sessions will be held locally and will provide opportunities to network. Each session is limited to 35 to 40 people to allow for intimate and informal discussions between attendees and experts, said CSM Corporate Center Senior Business Developer Linda Schleip. The topics for the sessions were suggested by area professionals because of their relevance, according to Schleip, and business professionals can sign up for as many sessions as desired.

The Executive Education Series includes, “Leveraging the Generational Mix” on March 9 at The Crossing at Casey Jones in La Plata, “Trusted Partners: How Companies Build Trust and Win Together” on April 13 at Café des Artistes in Leonardtown and “Driving Performance” on May 18 at The Tides Restaurant in Lexington Park. Registration is requested two weeks prior to each session.
