CSM Conference: Effective Teaching of STEM. 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., March 11, College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry (BI) Building, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Jam-packed, day-long conference on effective teaching tips from state and national experts in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for K-12, community college and university faculty and administrators. Topics include: increasing retention of under-represented groups, STEM education for all students, learning games in the classroom.
