The most successful companies use a process improvement model, but which one makes sense for your organization? The Corporate Center at the College of Southern Maryland will present a “Process & Quality Improvement Conference” April 24 and 25 at the La Plata Campus to help organizations understand what will work for their situation.
“This is the first time that the major process and quality improvement methodologies will be presented at one time in an understandable format—a valuable benefit to the organizations in Southern Maryland,” said Allan Kutz, vice president of CSM's Corporate and Community Training Institute. “Every organization, for profit or non-profit, private or public, service-oriented or manufacturing, must reduce costs, become more efficient and make the customer satisfied. But how do you know which process and quality improvement program is the most useful for your business? This conference will bring experts to help you determine that.”
The conference combines explanations by national and state experts on Baldrige, Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9000 and SEI/CMMI, as well as presentations by organizations that have achieved excellence by applying one or more of these process and quality methodologies.
“The college has been approached by countless individuals who have been confused over the usefulness of the various quality improvement programs. This conference brings together the experts to practically and concisely explain the major programs,” Kutz said.
Designed to address the needs of all sizes and types of businesses and organizations, the conference will provide information for government, services sector, production firms, as well as for financial staff, CEO's, production and quality managers.
