CSM 6th Annual Nonprofit Institute Conference. 8 a.m. April 29. College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry (BI Building), 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. An all day workshop catered to nonprofit board members, staff, sponsors and other executives will be hosted by the Nonprofit Institute at CSM with the theme, “The Power of Connection.” Director of SC&H Capital, Christopher Helmrath, will give the keynote address on how nonprofit organizations can achieve their goals. Following the address, attendees will choose workshop tracks in leadership, strategic planning, management, marketing or fundraising. $40 to St. Mary’s County and Charles County nonprofits and/or Residents. $65 to Calvert County nonprofits and all other outside region nonprofits and residents.
