Local author Wayne Karlin will read excerpts from his seventh novel “Marble Mountain,” which explores the stories of four people discovering their identity and coming to terms with the war that has shaped and interconnected their lives. CSM Connections: Call for Literary Journal Submissions. March 17 deadline. “Connections,” the literary journal of the College of Southern Maryland, is seeking submissions for its spring 2009 issue. Local writers and photographers are encouraged to send their poetry, prose, essays and black and white photography to Connections@csmd.edu. Deadline is Tuesday, March 17. Local writers and photographers will present and discuss their work as published in the spring 2009 issue of CSM’s “Connections” literary journal. The reading and copies of the journal are free.
