The College of Southern Maryland's 74-acre Regional Hughesville Campus at 6170 Hughesville Station Place is starting to take shape with the construction of the project's first phase — the 30,000-square-foot Center for Trades and Energy Training (CTET) — well underway with anticipated opening during the 2017 spring semester. The new CTET in its central location will provide specialized training in career fields that have substantial growth potential such as plumbing; carpentry; electrical; welding; and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). The second phase for the Regional Hughesville Campus will be construction of a state-of-the-art Health Sciences facility. The master plan for the regional campus also includes a fine arts center, a field house, athletic fields and additional classrooms.
