Community Heroin/Opioid Forum to Include Medication Take-back Booth

Medication Take-back Booth. 5:30-9 p.m., April 25. College of Southern Maryland, Leonardtown Campus, Building A, Auditorium, 22950 Hollywood Road, Leonardtown. The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office will staff a medication take-back booth during the Community Heroin/Opioid Forum for area residents who would like to safely and properly dispose of unwanted medications. Anonymous medication drop-off is also available every day, 24 hours a day, at collection boxes in the front lobby of the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office at headquarters in Leonardtown. The forum will also include a discussion panel on the growing opioid epidemic, followed by a screening of the documentary “Chasing the Dragon.” Overdose response training will be provided as well as a free Naloxone kit to trainees.
