
CSM Remembers the Struggle for Equality
Actress Barbara Callander presented An Anti-Suffrage Monologue at the College of Southern Marylands Leonardtown, La Plata and Prince Frederick campuses on March 15 as part of the colleges recognition of Womens History Month. An Anti-Suffrage Monologue, a satirical look at why Americans opposed granting women the right to vote, was written in 1913 by Marie Jenney Howe to promote the passage of the 19th Amendment which granted women the right to vote in 1920.
