Students parking at the College of Southern Marylands Prince Frederick Campus may face challenges this fall semester, particularly on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – noon and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7 p.m., according to Charlene Cole-Newkirk, Vice President and Dean of the Prince Frederick Campus.
CSM wishes to assure students that this is a short-term problem, as the college is building an additional parking lot, and hopes it will be available in October.
For now, overflow parking will be available on Tuesday and Thursday evenings only from 5:00 – 10:15 p.m. at the Calvert Middle School parking lot. Calvert Middle School is located on the corner of Dares Beach Road and Maryland Route 4 in Prince Frederick, MD. The lot is behind the school on Armory Road. CSM will provide a shuttle to transport students, faculty and staff to and from the Calvert Middle School lot from 5:00 – 10:15 p.m.
CSM is encouraging students at the Prince Frederick Campus to arrive early for classes and carpool with others as much as possible. Parking is not permitted on J. W. Williams Road at any time.
The College of Southern Maryland apologizes for any inconvenience our students and the community may experience as we work to resolve this issue.
