Women Look to Launch Season for Spring 2015

Quality Built Homes Inc. Vice President Rodney Gertz, second from left, presents a $5,000 check to benefit scholarships and the launch of women’s lacrosse at the College of Southern Maryland. Due to phenomenal support from community partners, CSM has been able to launch lacrosse at the NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) collegiate level in Southern Maryland, with a men’s team set to play this spring to be followed by a women’s team in spring 2015. Quality Built Homes Inc. has supported both men’s and women’s lacrosse at CSM in addition to its support for scholarships. “Our goal is to begin recruiting in 2014 in order to stand up a NJCAA women’s lacrosse team for the 2015 season,” said Lead Director of Student Life and Athletics Michelle Ruble.
