Northeast Parking Lot Closes Sept. 24 for Construction at CSM’s Prince Frederick Campus

The College of Southern Maryland announces the closure of the northeast parking lot at the college’s Prince Frederick Campus beginning Sept. 24 for construction work on a new parking lot and entrance to the Phase II Building. The lot will remain closed through the end of the fall semester. Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to carpool whenever possible.

Parking is permitted only in marked parking spaces within designated parking areas. Parking is not permitted on J.W. Williams Road nor on Route 231 at any time.

The second building on the Prince Frederick Campus will add 30,000 square feet of space for classrooms, faculty offices, computer labs and a fitness center. Nearly 3,000 square feet of space will be dedicated to a multipurpose room that will host conferences, lectures, cultural events and concerts with another 3,000 square feet dedicated to the Center for Nuclear Energy Training (CNET). Construction is scheduled to be completed in spring 2013.
