National Players at CSM: Romeo and Juliet. 8 p.m., Oct. 4, College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Fine Arts Center, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. The College of Southern Maryland presents the National Players as they perform William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet. Love can be a thrilling ride, bursting the seams of young hearts, making them feel things never felt before. It can also be a dangerous thing, splitting hearts open and sending them past the point of no return. This year Americas longest running classical touring company brings you Shakespeares most enduring tale. The National Players have managed to take this play back to its roots as the soul-wrenching tragedy, pointed-social commentary, and ageless love story that it is, said Jessica Vaughan of DC Metro Theater Arts. Shown are Britian Siebert as Juliet and Ian Kramer as Romeo in The National Players production of Romeo and Juliet. Photo by Sonie Mathew. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, military members with ID and youth in highschool or below. Reservations are strongly encouraged. bxoffc@csmd.edu, 301-934-7828, or http://www.csmd.edu/arts.
