Students provided seated massage to people who work in the Maryland legislature, including state senators and delegates and their staffs. The event provides an opportunity for students to meet legislators, aides and lobbyists and learn about the role of professional organizations in legislative activities, as well as to network with massage therapists from across the state, said McManaway. It helps them to understand that they are more than just a single massage student, but part of a large, vital and growing profession.
