Community Invited for Free Sessions, 5K Before, After Thanksgiving
CSMs Free Turkey Burner 5K Run/Walk. 1 to 2 p.m., Nov. 19 and Dec. 3, College of Southern Maryland, Prince Frederick Campus, 115 J.W. Williams Road, Room 125, Prince Frederick. The community is invited to join CSM students and staff for pre- and post-Thanksgiving Day Turkey Burner 5K run/walk on J.W. Williams Road to get ready for the feastand then recover after. The event is free. Participants are asked to bring one non-perishable food item to be donated to one of the tri-county food pantries. The community is invited to join CSM students and staff for pre- and post-Thanksgiving Day workouts to get ready for the feastand then recover after. Three 45-minute workout sessions can be combined to one marathon workout or as a single workout. On Nov. 19 sessions include Super Circuit at 11 a.m., Zumba at 11:30 a.m. and Resist-a-Ball at 12:15 p.m.; on Dec. 3 sessions include Resist-a-Ball 11 a.m., Zumba at 11:45 and Cycle Circuit at 12:30.
