CSM Cause Theater Presents ‘ReEntry’

Docudrama Looks at the Lives of Active-Duty Marines

The College of Southern Maryland’s Cause Theatre presents “ReEntry,” a look into the lives of Marines preparing for and returning from combat overseas. Performances will take place on all three campuses: 7:30 p.m., Feb. 6 in Building B, Multipurpose Room on the Prince Frederick Campus; 8 p.m., Feb. 7 in Building A, Auditorium on the Leonardtown Campus; and 7:30 p.m., Feb. 13, 8 p.m., Feb. 14 and 8 p.m., Feb. 15 in the Fine Arts Center on the La Plata Campus.

“ReEntry” is a docudrama exploring the relationship between Marines and civilians; those they fight for overseas as well as those with whom they must contend upon returning home. “There are very emotional moments balanced with humor,” said Director Aimee Bonnet, of White Plains, a CSM theater major. “All audience members will walk away with gratitude to service members for the sacrifices they make.”

The play is based entirely on interviews with Marines and their families. “Expect an honest, moving, surprisingly funny and engaging production,” said Keith Hight, associate professor and CSM’s coordinator of theatre and dance.

“ReEntry” is presented by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. This production contains strong adult language and content and may not be suitable for younger audiences. Tickets are $5 for all ages. For information, contact the box office at 301-934-7828 or bxoffc@csmd.edu. For information about the arts at CSM, visit www.csmd.edu/arts.
