CSM Women + Math = Infinite Possibilities. 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., April 26. College of Southern Maryland, La Plata Campus, Center for Business and Industry (BI Building), 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. This one-day event will feature workshops, presentations and discussions designed to inform young women on careers that rely heavily on math. Keynote address by Debra Salamon, the lead test engineer of the Marine Corps CH53K Heavy Lift Helicopter Integrated Test Team. Open to young women ages 13 and older as well as high school math teachers and parents. The workshops will cover various subjects, including architecture, electrical engineering, microbiology and veterinary medicine. Free. Registration deadline is April 20.
