College of Southern Maryland Executive Director of Marketing and National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) “Communicator of the Year” Theresa Johnson, left, and CSM Marketing Coordinator and Community Blogger, Amy Brady visited the St. Charles Children’s Learning Center on the La Plata Campus as “Celebrity Readers” on Feb. 13. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, Johnson read the children’s book “Love Bugs” by David A. Carter and Brady read an interactive counting book “Elmo’s Counting Game” by Sarah Albee. Johnson and Brady gave the children Hershey Kisses and candy marshmallows and in return received smiles and hugs. The Children's Learning Center nurtures and enhances the lives of children and their parents by creating an environment that helps children interact with their world and peers, and building confidence, self-esteem and a life-long love of learning.
