The St. Charles Childrens Learning Center at the College of Southern Maryland hosted a Trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Judes Hospital, April 27. Maryland State Patrol cadets were on-site with their bikes to discuss helmet safety and to lead the ride through a mock set-up of the city of La Plata created by the CLC students with cardboard boxes representing landmarks including a bank, police station, fire station, food store and an auto repair shop. The CLC raised more than $200 to support the hospital, which will cover two hours of X-rays for one child. Shown here CSM employee Shaunda Holt, left, and her son, John Holt, take a moment to smile for the camera in between triking to raise money.
