College of Southern Maryland Professor and artist Sue Chappelear is exhibiting her pottery Currents in CSMs Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery located in the Fine Arts Center on the La Plata Campus through Jan. 23. Chappelear explained during a recent gallery talk that she takes her inspiration for her current collection from her love of the beach. Many of her pieces reflect the waves and the sand through texture and color. This years gallery shows are featuring the work of CSM faculty. The gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The college will be closed for holiday break Dec. 23 through Jan. 2. For information visit http://www.csmd.edu/Arts.
