Small Business Development Center at CSM Hosts Southern Maryland Entrepreneurs
Start Up Maryland, a statewide initiative to help celebrate entrepreneurship and to bring focus to diverse businesses and product ideas from across the state rode onto the La Plata Campus of the College of Southern Maryland Sept. 18 to help Charles County entrepreneurs pitch their products and services as part of the Pitch Across Maryland initiative. CSM Vice President of Continuing Education and Workforce Development Dan Mosser, left, and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Director Kelly Robertson-Slagle welcomed Southern Maryland entrepreneurs at tour stops at CSM campuses in La Plata, Leonardtown and Prince Frederick. The tour bus was equipped with a small recording studio and technical services to assist business owners in videotaping their pitches. The videos will be entered into a state-wide competition to bring exposure and potential investors to their businesses. The SBDC serves businesses at satellite locations in La Plata, Prince Frederick and Leonardtown.
