Eisele to be Leading Edge Awards Keynote Speaker

Maryland Energy Administration Chief of Staff to Speak June 17

The keynote speaker for the 2009 Leading Edge Awards June 17 at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Community Center will be Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) Chief of Staff Anne Eisele.

Eisele has specialized in the energy field for more than 25 years. Prior to joining MEA in February 2009, Eisele served as director of sustainable initiatives at Georgetown University where she worked with students, faculty, staff and the Ivy Plus Universities to promote and implement sustainability initiatives. Eisele has also worked as director and manager of facilities management and construction at two large hospitals and as a consultant to industrial customers on energy initiatives and solutions with Baltimore Gas and Electric.

The Leading Edge Awards celebrate individuals and businesses that spur economic growth within the region, and this year’s honorees exemplify the qualities synonymous with business success: performance excellence, innovation and an unwavering dedication to customers and staff.

The Leading Edge Awards program will include a reception and banquet, 6 to 9:30 p.m., June 17 at the Jaycees Hall in Waldorf.
