CSM Meet the Artist, Reception, Performance: Currents Pottery by Sue Chappelear and Night Sky Essays. 6:30 p.m., Dec. 9. College of Southern Maryland, Fine Arts Center, Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery, La Plata Campus, 8730 Mitchell Road, La Plata. Artist and CSM Professor Sue Chappelear will share her work at a Meet the Artist event and reception and the” Night Sky Essays” performance will follow at 8 p.m. Tickets are $40 for the general public and $30 for CSM faculty and students. Chappelears work will be on exhibit in CSM's Tony Hungerford Memorial Art Gallery located in the Fine Arts Center on the La Plata Campus, Nov. 19-Jan. 23 (closed during colleges holiday break, Dec. 23-Jan. 2).
